OUR OFFER
Our product range includes wines that we have produced from Australia's Barossa Valley region as well as, other carefully selected regions including McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and the Eden Valley. The Barossa's specific climate, with cool rainy winters, warm dry summers, along with the loamy-sand and clay soils that dominate the valley, combine to create the ideal microclimate yielding the most unmistakable Shiraz style in Australia, and perhaps the world. A firm favourite among Australian whites is Chardonnay - a wonderfully versatile white wine that is both elegant and fruity. You'll find the best selection of these varieties in our collection.

BROOMY CHASE
The BROOMY CHASE collection is a careful selection of iconic Australian wines produced from grapes we source from the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Eden Valley. Our goal is to showcase the intensity and uniqueness of the aromas provided by the diversity of the Australian climate and terroir, hence the symbolic presence of the Golden Wattle – the official flower of Australia – on the collection's labels. BROOMY CHASE are wines to which we give our heart and passion.
2022 BROOMY CHASE Barossa Valley Shiraz
A large proportion of the Shiraz grapes for this wine are sourced from growers on the western side of the Barossa Valley. As is often the practice, if the season allows we leave the grapes to hang as long as possible and pick based on the sugar/acid balance, as well as the ripeness of tannin structure. Our aim being to produce a balanced wine with moderately high alcohol, but with firm but velvety tannins. Fermentation takes places in both closed and open fermenters with a portion of the blend receiving extended skin contact. Following pressing the wines are clarified and aged for at least 12 months in a combination of old and new french oak hogshead barrels.
2023 BROOMY CHASE McLaren Vale Shiraz
Our McLaren Vale Shiraz is somewhat of an experimental effort. For many years our focus was on Barossa Valley Shiraz and whites from the Hills surrounding Adelaide (South Australia) to the northeast. The fruit we were seeing in McLaren Vale vineyards was, however, too good to ignore and we added a McLaren Vale Shiraz to our range for the first time in 2009. In contrast to the slightly continental climate of the Barossa Valley, where we can see a large daily temperature variation, vineyards in McLaren Vale grow in a strongly maritime microclimate. This moderates the diurnal temperature difference and gives us intense, inky wines with „stony”, chalky tannin structure. The wines attain full ripeness and hence intense fruit characters are present, however, the McLaren Vale Shiraz differs in the spectrum of characters you will experience when compared to the Barossa Valley Shiraz. McLaren Vale being generally a slightly lighter wine, with flavours in the licorice, leather spectrum overlaying rich forest fruit.
2024 BROOMY CHASE Eden Valley Chardonnay
BROOMY CHASE Chardonnay comes from vineyards in the Eden Valley, located on the picturesque slopes adjacent to the Barossa. Harvested at night and early in the morning, the fruits undergoes a special production process at very low temperatures to preserve their subtle flavors. The aromas gain character while aging in new French oak barrels. The light straw color of the wine invites you to immerse yourself in a refreshing bouquet of peaches, melon, orange blossom and a hint of lime, complemented by a subtle buttery note of oak. The subsequent layers of flavor spread across the palate reveal aromas of intense lychee, guava and melon, balanced by lemon acidity and flavors of warm butter, roasted nuts and a hint of vanilla from oak fermentation.
